Welcome to Seerah Journey. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Seerah Journey mobile application ("App") and related services provided by Seerah Journey ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Seerah Journey, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Seerah Journey is an educational mobile application designed to help users learn about the life and biography (Seerah) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The App provides:

  • Interactive lessons organized into worlds and chapters
  • Quizzes, puzzles, and matching activities
  • Progress tracking and achievement systems
  • Quranic references with Arabic text and translations
  • Cloud synchronization of learning progress
  • Daily challenges and streak tracking

The content is presented for educational purposes and is based on established Islamic scholarly sources.

3. User Accounts

Creating an account is optional but provides additional benefits such as cloud synchronization and progress backup across devices.

3.1 Account Creation

You may create an account using:

  • Apple Sign In
  • Google Sign In
  • Email and password

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free and Premium Content

4.1 Free Content

The following content is available free of charge:

  • World 0: Pre-Islamic Arabia (9 chapters)
  • World 1: Before Prophethood (8 chapters)
  • Core features including progress tracking and achievements

4.2 Premium Content

Premium content requires a one-time purchase and includes:

  • Worlds 2-7: Covering the complete Seerah from the first revelation to the Prophet's farewell
  • Over 35 additional chapters and 100+ lessons
  • All future content updates at no additional cost

5. Payments and Refunds

5.1 Payment Processing

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases.

5.2 Pricing

Premium access is available as a one-time purchase. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency in the App Store.

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard refund process. We do not directly process refunds for App Store purchases.

5.4 Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the App or use a new device, you can restore your previous purchases at no additional cost using the "Restore Purchases" option.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, and software, is the property of Seerah Journey or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

6.2 Quranic Content

Quranic verses included in the App are presented with the utmost respect. Arabic text is from established Quranic sources, and translations are provided for educational purposes.

6.3 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

6.4 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

7. User Conduct

When using Seerah Journey, you agree to:

  • Use the App respectfully and in accordance with its educational purpose
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
  • Not use the App to transmit harmful code or malware
  • Not interfere with the proper functioning of the App
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Educational Purpose

Seerah Journey is designed for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy based on established Islamic scholarly sources, the App is not intended to replace formal religious education or scholarly guidance.

8.2 No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8.3 Content Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure content accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seerah Journey shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or progress
  • Service interruptions
  • Technical failures
  • Third-party actions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seerah Journey and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services including:

  • Apple Services: For authentication and payments
  • Google Services: For authentication
  • Supabase: For data storage and synchronization
  • RevenueCat: For subscription management

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the App is revoked
  • You may lose access to your progress and data
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Seerah Journey operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted in the App or on our website. We will provide notice of material changes through the App or via email to registered users.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Seerah Journey regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
